I've been really only alternating between Link (like in every Smash), Megaman, and Pac-Man. I usually only ever played as Link in the past, but Pac-Man is a really novel choice and Megaman is simply a fun character to anger people with.
I just recently got a new laptop, so my desktop is not yet completely filled like it was on my last computer. Finding 1080p wallpapers of stuff I like is quite a struggle.

Finding emblems surprisingly proved to be enjoyable for me, and unlocking a radar felt like an adequate reward that encouraged further scavenging. I believe I found every emblem "hidden" in the main campaign without resorting to a guide.
The time and ring requirements are reasonable...
Ah yes, I actually totally forgot about the scrapped gargoyle box. In a stroke of inspiration, I started a "proof of concept" weather changing mechanism. This happened when the map was otherwise mostly completed, so Jellybones and I decided that we should preserve the idea for another level down...

If I recall correctly, a stage must have three or more emerald tokens for emerald hunt to be enabled, and it must be a single player or coop level. None of the official levels use this, so you'll need to find/make a WAD that does.
I actually noticed this back when 2.1 first released. I spent my time tearing apart the special stages looking for the emerald tokens because it would seem arbitrary that only the third special stage has one. Now that it's confirmed to be just Flooded Cove, I must say that I am also curious why...
I'm pretty sure the term "console war" doesn't mean to imply actual warfare. The concept leans more towards the idea that each side thinks that it is right and all others are wrong.
Pac-Man alone makes me seriously consider getting this game; he looks fantastic. I'm fairly glad to see newcomers who aren't from overly bloated Nintendo franchises like Mario and Pokemon.
