Pretty minor update TBH.
A possible idea for a feature in a future version is to turn off the cutscene that happens when you warp to the past or the future, especially for lower-end PC's and mobile devices (like the original 1.0 version of this mod).
  • You can now use the command "tt_cutscene" to adjust how detailed the time-travel cutscene is, as well as if it plays at all.
    • 0: The cutscene just doesn't play, similar to the 1.0 version of this mod.
    • 1: The cutscene will look worse than churned-up rotten dogshit, but it's the optimal choice for low-end PCs and phones. If your stage crashes on 1, you seriously need to wonder what kind of stage you're making.
    • 2: The cutscene looks slightly better than 1, but it still looks downright crappy.
    • 3: The cutscene looks better than 2, but it could still use some improvement. Good for most stages.
    • 4: The cutscene looks pretty good, and it can even support some better stages. However, it can still lag or crash on particularly large stages.
    • 5: The cutscene looks ABSOLUTELY FUCKING AMAZING, just like it did in 1.1. Be careful, though - lags and SIGSEVS are right around the corner with this one!
  • Cool!

Pretty simple first update. Added the following stuff:
  • Time-traveling particles are now colorized Super particles, as opposed to the distracting solid thok particles.
  • You can now use "Lua.loserings" in your map header as a true/false toggle. If true, the player will lose all of their rings when trying to time-travel away from the map. As an added bonus, the console command "tt_alwaysloserings" makes this happen no matter what, as an optional added challenge.
  • Added a cutscene when time-traveling that tries to replicate what you see in Sonic CD. It's a little buggy, and it'll lag out or even crash when your map has a lot of FOFs and Objects, but hey! It looks cool. And that's what matters.
Also, fun fact: I thought this addon would take me a day or so to make and publish. It... ah... took me about six months. Either I'm the greatest procrastinator in the world, or I accidentally drove past a Future Sign while on the road. Either way, I'm just glad I managed to get it out here!
